PROPERTIES: This food has a great antioxidant effect. It contains beta-carotene, which prevents cataracts, immune disorders and even some cancers thanks to its stimulating effect on the immune system. Its manganese content is notable, which contributes to the formation of bones and cartilages, as well as in blood coagulation, and protects against free radicals. It is also detoxifying and helps eliminate cadmium, paracetamol or some environmental pollutants. It also enhances the activity of other antioxidants such as vitamin C and E, and helps regenerate the latter.
